OUR STORY
A Rich Farming Legacy
Welcome to The Farm — where family roots run deep, and new memories are just beginning to grow. We’re the Rouwenhorst family. Farmer Jon, Heather, and our two sweet, caring daughters, Kadence (11) and Tatum (5). As a third-generation farming family, agriculture is in our blood and in our hearts. Farmer Jon’s father and grandfather immigrated from Holland, bringing with them a strong work ethic and a deep respect for the land. We’ve proudly carried that legacy forward here in Idaho, where we’ve called home for over 24 years. Over the years, we’ve grown mint, corn, alfalfa, and wheat, and while our connection to the land has always been strong, we’ve long dreamed of creating a place where families could come together to enjoy the beauty and fun of farm life. That dream is now a reality.
We started The Farm as an agritourism destination to share a slice of our world with you — and to help preserve our family farm through farming.

ABOUT THE FARM
Welcome to The Farm-- a brand-new fall destination created by Jon and Heather, a local couple with a passion for family fun, fresh air, and festive traditions. This is our very first year opening The Farm to the public, and we're excited to invite you to be a part of something special from the beginning!
We’re incredibly grateful to be mentored by Jeff Smith, owner of Twin Oaks Farms, whose experience and insight — especially in building a beloved legacy with Halloween Land — have been invaluable. Jeff is helping us to create something lasting, while also caring for the land we love. Whether you're wandering through golden sunflower fields, laughing through the corn maze, cuddling fluffy animals, or soaking in the beauty of the countryside with your loved ones, our hope is that you feel like part of our extended farm family. From our family to yours — welcome to The Farm.
We're so glad you're here!

OUR MISSION
At The Farm, we believe the best stories start in the dirt—where tiny seeds grow into big memories. Our mission is to create sustainable, family-focused experiences that celebrate the land, honor farming traditions, and spark joy for every generation.
Whether it’s getting lost in corn stalks, twirling through sunflower fields, or picking the perfect pumpkin, we’re here to plant the seeds of fun, learning, and connection—and watch them grow year after year.
